My Rugby Life: Michela Sillari

Michela Sillari

“When we sing the national anthem and I see my family looking on, I feel more fired up and urge myself to give it my all during the game.”

Michela Sillari has been an integral part of Italy’s backline since making her Women’s Six Nations debut against England in 2012.

And the centre, who is preparing to win her 60th cap in Saturday’s clash with Ireland, is the latest Championship star to take a trip down memory lane in our ‘My Rugby Life’ series.

From two-hour round trips as a teenager to pursue her passion to second place in the Six Nations via a successful Premier 15s stint with Harlequins in the English capital, Sillari has created memories to savour and the 28-year-old will hope there are plenty more to come.
