Vote for the TikTok Women’s Six Nations Try of Round 1

Try of the Round 1

The TikTok Women’s Six Nations got off to a flying start with England, Wales and France victorious in Round 1.

Defending champions England got the ball rolling with a 57-5 win away to Scotland in Edinburgh before Wales came from behind to win 27-19 on the road in Ireland.

Then on Sunday France overcame Italy 39-6, finishing with a flourish in Grenoble.

With 23 tries across the three games, there were plenty to pick from when it came to selecting the TikTok Women’s Six Nations Try of the Round.

We have whittled it down to four though and now it is up to you the fans to decide the pick of the bunch:

Abby Dow – Scotland v ENGLAND

Winger Abby Dow has made a habit of scoring wonder tries, and she was at it again in the first half at the DAM Health Stadium.

Fed the ball by Emily Scarratt on the right touchline, Dow looked to have nowhere to go but got outside Rhona Lloyd before cutting inside Chloe Rollie and racing over from halfway.

Linda Djougang – IRELAND v Wales

Ireland may have come out on the wrong side of their clash with Wales, but they produced some exceptional moments and none better than Linda Djougang’s first-half try.

It was made by second row Sam Monaghan who burst through after receiving Nicole Cronin’s pop pass. She was eventually tackled but produced the deftest of offloads to prop Djougang who charged through, stepped the last defender and went under the posts.

Hannah Jones – Ireland v WALES

Wales had just taken the lead for the first time when they found themselves with a scrum around halfway. Robyn Wilkins carried the ball up past the ten-metre line before feeding to centre Hannah Jones.

She still had a huge amount of work to do, but using the threat of the player outside her, Jones slipped through three tacklers and over for the score that sealed the win.

Emilie Boulard – FRANCE v Italy

France had to wait until the final ten minutes to clinch the bonus point against Italy, but when they did so, it was in some style.

From a scrum just inside Italian territory, the ball was spread wide with Maëlle Filopon putting replacement Emilie Boulard through a gap.

She stepped inside the covering defender before dummying to Laure Sansus to beat one more player and crash over.
