TikTok Women’s Six Nations Fantasy Rugby Round 2 Preview

Wales players celebrate after the game 26/3/2022

After a thrilling opening weekend, the 2022 TikTok Women’s Six Nations returns on Saturday for Round 2. So now is the time to fine-tune your Fantasy Rugby team for the games ahead.

The deadline is set for kick-off in the France v Ireland fixture – 2.15pm on Saturday 2 April, so there is still plenty of time to assemble a winning team if you have not yet.

And with kick-off just days away, what better time to look at the players and combinations who could set your team apart.

England back-row stars

There is an abundance of back-row talent in this year’s Championship, and for that reason, picking the right players in these positions will be crucial if you want to get ahead of the opposition in Fantasy Rugby.

England players stood apart in Round 1, with three of their stars included among the top four highest-scoring back-rowers.

Sarah Hunter and Poppy Cleall did brilliantly to score 51.3 and 64.3 respectively, but Marlie Packer took centre stage with a stunning hat-trick in the 57-5 win against Scotland.

England take on Italy on Sunday, and fans can expect a high scoring game at Stadio Sergio Lanfranchi.

You can have Loughborough Lightning’s Hunter in your team for 16.3 stars, while Packer costs 18.9 and Saracens icon Cleall goes for 19.

But if you need someone at a fairer price, you can always pick Wales’ Alisha Butchers for just 13.1 after her points haul of 61.7 in Round 1.

Fly-half battle

Wales and France both had brilliant opening weekends and ahead of games against Scotland and Ireland, respectively, Fantasy Rugby fans would be wise to get some of their players into their teams.

Both fly-halves performed exceptionally well for their teams in Round 1, so many Fantasy Rugby players will have a decision on their hands when they choose which star makes it into their side.

Caroline Drouin is available for 16.5 stars ahead of Round 2 after recording 60.9 points in the 39-6 win against Italy.

But Wales’ 27-19 bonus-point win against Ireland was historic, and it was thanks in part to an exceptional performance from Kayleigh Powell.

She is available at the lower price of 12.9.

Megan Gaffney celebrates scoring a try with Emily Scarratt 26/3/2022

Quality out wide

Plenty of wingers got points on the board last weekend and, ahead of Round 2, Fantasy Rugby fans will have a big dilemma to deal with out wide.

Wales winger Jasmine Joyce stunned supporters with a wonderful performance gaining more metres than any other winger and scoring a try.

She recorded 61.7 points last week and is available for 17.6 stars ahead of Round 2.

Despite finding herself on the losing side, Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe played well against Wales, scoring a try of her own.

She’s a slightly cheaper option for Fantasy Rugby Players after scoring 38.5 points in Round 1, available now for 17.3.

With England again the favourites ahead of their game against Italy on Sunday, another resounding win could be on the cards for Simon Middleton’s side.

England ran in tries at will against Scotland and their back row in particular enjoyed a fruitful time.

With that in mind, Cleall or Packer could be worth backing after great starts to this Championship.

France had a brilliant start to the 2022 TikTok Women’s Six Nations and will also be favourites after Ireland’s loss against Wales.

So one of their star players, such as scrum-half Laure Sansus could also leave your Fantasy Rugby team in safe hands ahead of another round of action.
