England crowned TikTok Women’s Six Nations champions for 2022

England

England were crowned TikTok Women’s Six Nations champions for the fourth year running as they claimed the Grand Slam with a 24-12 win away to France in Bayonne.

As has been the case for most of the Championship, it was their rolling maul that was their biggest weapon, allowing Sarah Bern to score two of their three tries.

The Red Roses have now won 23 matches in a row, including five in the 2022 Championship.

They began their campaign with a 57-5 win away to Scotland, followed by a 74-0 success in Italy.

Next up were Wales, unbeaten at the time, and England powered to a 58-5 success before clinching the Triple Crown by beating Ireland 69-0.

That left a Grand Slam decider away to Les Bleues, who had also won four from four.

And despite Romane Ménager’s early try, England were able to seize control, crossing three times in the first half, twice through Bern and once through Abbie Ward.

France kept battling, with Annaëlle Deshaye going over in the second half, but England had opened up a big enough lead that they were able to see the game out comfortably to clinch the title.
