TikTok Women's Six Nations Player of the Championship

The 2022 TikTok Women’s Six Nations finished with a flourish as England claimed the Grand Slam and Italy and Ireland claimed dramatic, last-gasp victories.

VOTE FOR THE TIKTOK PLAYER OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP

So as the dust settles it is time to vote for the TikTok Women’s Six Nations Player of the Championship to see who will succeed Poppy Cleall.

There was no question over the top two teams in this year’s Championship, with France and England playing out a cracking Grand Slam decider in Bayonne, and the four nominees come from those two sides.

From champions England, the two nominees are flanker Marlie Packer and tighthead prop Sarah Bern, while Les Bleues provide two nominees of their own, scrum-half Laure Sansus and lock Madoussou Fall.

Now it is up to you to decide who was the best of the best:

Sarah Bern (England)

After more than a year out of the game, Sarah Bern could have been satisfied with just getting back on the pitch, but that is not her style. Instead, the 24-year-old showed why she has been tipped by many to be the greatest prop the women’s game has seen.

Across the course of the campaign she racked up five tries, joint second of any player, while turning the England scrum into a real weapon and demonstrating the sort of athleticism around the park that you do not expect from a front-rower.

It was only fitting that she scored two tries in the final game to ensure England emerged victorious in Bayonne.

Madoussou Fall (France)

It does not take long to spot the impact that Madoussou Fall makes on the pitch. At 1m87, she stands out and she puts that size to good use as France’s go-to carrier in tight, regularly making inroads in opposition defences.

Not only that, Fall is an absolute menace in defence, regularly hammering back any opponent who dares run down her channel. The 24-year-old has stepped up this year and become the heartbeat of the French pack and showed just how important she is by finishing as France’s top tackler and third top carrier, not to mention grabbing a try in their opening win against Italy.

Marlie Packer (England)

It has been a full 14 years since Marlie Packer made her England debut but the openside flanker’s influence is as immense as ever for the Red Roses. Her opening display against Scotland set the tone, racking up more than 100 metres with ball in hand and topping the tackle count while also making four turnovers and scoring a hat-trick.

She finished the Championship top of the turnover charts, likewise for carries, while she managed four tries and four try assists. Against France in the decider, she was in her element, frustrating Les Bleues when they were trying to force their way back into the game.

Laure Sansus (France)

In the absence of Pauline Bourdon, there was a lot of pressure on Laure Sansus to step up in the scrum-half jersey and she more than held up her end of the bargain. Sansus finished the TikTok Women’s Six Nations as the top try-scorer, with six, and with the most assists, also six, with everything France did well going through her.

Beyond her sniping and attacking threat, it was also Sansus’ kicking that stood out, allowing Les Bleues to play the game in the right areas of the pitch on their way to second place.

So those are your four nominees, now it is up to you the fans to decide who was the pick of the bunch.
