France and Italy will face-off in two warm-up fixtures prior to the start of the Rugby World Cup.
The TikTok Six Nations pair clash twice in the space of a week before jetting off to New Zealand for the start of the World Cup in October.
The last meeting between these two saw France emerge 39-6 winners in Round 1 of the TikTok Six Nations at the Stade des Alpes.
France have finished third in six of the eight women’s World Cups to date, having never reached the final previously, while Italy’s best finish came at the very first edition of the tournament, an eighth-place finish in Wales in 1991.
The Stade de Arboras in Nice will host the first of the two warm-up matches on Saturday 3rd September before the return fixture in Biella, approximately 65 miles west of Milan, six days later.
France begin their World Cup campaign on the opening day of the tournament, with a mouth-watering tie against South Africa.
They then face Six Nations Grand Slam winners England, before wrapping up their pool-stage action against Fiji.
Meanwhile, Italy star in the Pool B opener against three-time finalists USA, before taking on Canada and Japan.
The World Cup final then takes place at Eden Park in Auckland on 12th November.
